Ritendra Datta

Ritendra Datta is an Engineering Leader at OpenAI, where he works on advanced AI and machine learning initiatives focused on next-generation ChatGPT features. With a strong background in applied AI, recommendation systems, and large-scale machine learning infrastructure, he has held leadership roles at Google, Meta, Databricks, and IBM Research. Over his career, Ritendra has led high-impact engineering and AI teams working on search, recommender systems, generative AI, and video ranking technologies at global scale. He holds a PhD in Computer Science & Engineering from Penn State University and is recognized for his expertise in AI innovation, engineering leadership, and applied machine learning.
