Anand Rao

Anand Rao works in Data and GenAI Field Engineering at Databricks, where he partners with enterprises to design and deploy production-grade AI and data platforms on the lakehouse. His work spans generative AI, agent architectures, data governance, and customer enablement — helping organizations move from experimentation to mission-ready AI systems on their own data. Anand writes and speaks regularly on enterprise AI, agentic systems, and the evolving data stack. Prompted Thoughts, a video series exploring how AI is reshaping how teams build software and make decisions, is in the works. Anand is into percussion and is active in Sewa Bay Area community service initiatives. He lives in the Bay Area with his family.
